What Loopform AI does with your data.
Last updated 12 October 2026. Applies to the Loopform AI app on iPhone and Android and to this website.
The short version
Loopform AI runs on your phone. Your workouts, your form scores, your food log, your weigh-ins and what you tell the coach are stored on your device and nowhere else. The camera is used to track your body position live; video is never recorded, saved or uploaded. There is no account and we do not know who you are. A few things leave your phone only to do what you asked, and they are listed below.
What stays on your phone
- Your answers to the setup questions (goal, experience, schedule, equipment, limitations, body measurements).
- Every workout: movements, sets, reps, weights, the form faults the camera caught, and the movement-screen results.
- Your food log, weigh-ins, nutrition targets and the nutrition interview.
- The coach's notes: what you said during sessions, pain you mentioned, adjustments the coach made.
- If you turn on "Record camera data" in Plan, the body-point positions the camera tracked during sets. These are numbers, not images. The switch is off by default and the files can be deleted from the same place.
Delete the app and all of this is deleted with it. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
The camera and the microphone
The camera feed is processed on the phone, frame by frame, to find the position of your joints. No frame is stored and no frame is sent anywhere. The microphone listens for "Hey Coach" and for your answers during a session; speech is turned into text by your phone's own speech recognition. On iPhone, Apple's speech recognition may process audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy.
What leaves your phone, and why
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The text of a question you ask the coach, with the context the coach needs to answer (your current set, your plan, your food today, your profile answers, the coach's notes) | Anthropic, through our own relay server | So the coach can answer as a trainer who knows you. Not used by us for anything else. Anthropic's handling is covered by its usage policies. |
| The words of each spoken cue | OpenAI, through our relay | To turn the coach's words into a natural voice. |
| A meal photo, only when you choose "Snap a photo of your plate" | Anthropic, through our relay | To name the food and estimate the portion. The photo is not stored by us. If the relay is unreachable the photo is read on your phone instead. |
| A product barcode you scan | Open Food Facts | To look up the product. Open Food Facts is a public, non-profit database. |
| A random device identifier, generated by the app | Our relay server | To apply a fair daily limit per device. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number. |
Our relay server (a Cloudflare Worker) does not log the content of requests. It keeps a count of requests per device per day for 48 hours.
Notifications
Training reminders and the weekly recap are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent from a server, and you can turn them off in Plan or in your phone's settings.
This website and the beta list
If you join the beta, we store the email address, the name and the phone type you entered, and the country your request came from, in order to send you the invite and build updates. We do not sell or share the list. Reply to any email to be removed. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
Beta testing
On iPhone, builds are delivered through Apple's TestFlight, which can share crash reports and basic device statistics with us under Apple's TestFlight terms. On Android, builds are installed directly and nothing is reported.
Children
Loopform AI is not for children under 13, and the setup questions require an age of 13 or over.
Health information
What you tell the coach about injuries, pain and your body is health-related information. It stays on your phone as described above, and is only sent to the coach's model as part of a question you ask, so the coach can answer safely.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so the next time you open it and this page will show the new date.
